What Monitor to use for gaming? TV vs Monitor

I'll be using the GTX 970 G1 gaming GPU.

I was wondering if my already owned Vizio Vo320E Tv would run well enough or would I need to upgrade to something like Asus VX229H. If you know of any other Monitor please link also.

TVs usually run at a higher refresh rate, even with a "game" mode enabled. For me, tv's make typing harder and fps shots more hard, but it's personal taste. I would always go for a monitor if it's possible
