So, I have never before considered going 2-way SLI, but with so many great games coming out this year and the next (The Witcher 3, Batman Arkham Knight, Metal Gear Solid V, Assassin's Creed Syndicate and the new Battlefront game), I really feel like I should do something to upgrade my PC.

My current setup is as follows:
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570 3.4 GHz, 3.8 GHz Turbo Mode (4 CPUs)
VGA: Gigabyte GTX 760 Windforce 3x OC Edition (GDDR5 2GB)
RAM: DDR3 1600Mhz 2x4 8GB Corsair
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77-D3H
PSU: CoolerMaster Thunder 600w
HDD1: WD 500GB
HDD2: WD 2TB

My budget is around 300 euros and I really don't know whether I should go for another GTX 760 + a 750W PSU or stick with an R9 290x.

I am mostly worried about driver support and scaling on my favorite games (mostly RPGs and Ubisoft's games), as well as the cooling such a setup would require.

What do you think? Is there anyone with a similar setup?

I have considered it, but:

1. I can only buy a GTX 970 if I first sell my GTX 760, which I may not be able to do and
2. Wouldn't it be a shame if I paired such a powerful card with a CPU as old as the Inteil i5 3570?

Edit: Also, would a 600W PSU suffice for a GTX 970?

The 970 uses far less power then the 290. 970 only uses 148W and the 290 uses 300W

I reccomend looking at this:

Hope this helps!

I run a i5 4690 with a R9 290X on a 600W PSU and have no issues. I put a power meter on the input into my PSU and ran every GPU demanding game I could and never saw more than 450W peak demand.
As for the i5 3570, I don't know too much about it except it came out 3 years ago, however it's specs still look good enough to run a top end GPU...make sure to use the latest drivers and you should be good.
