Help me to Push my dual GPUs to their limits.

Hi. Im a gamer and Im building my fresh rig. I'm getting dual SLI gtx980s with a i5 4690. Now all I need is a display. So what I'm asking is that, (Im looking for a 16:9 display) what is the maximum resolution that'll push my 980s to their limits? I prefer maximum immersion while gaming. (Budget is not a problem).

Yea bro, the Benchmarks for dual 980s in 4k, are pretty impressive. But will it be a waste of money?

The prices too have drastically gone down but, even two GPUs like gtx980s fail to render 30fps in 4k, nevermind 60fps. So I wont be able to play the most demanding games like crysis 3 with ultra settings in such resolutions. Better to stick with 2560x1440p. Anyway whats the highest resolution for 16:9 displays?
