Trying to build a PC for 3D modeling/rendering!

Hi! This is my first time building a PC and I was just wondering if this is setup is alright for 3D modeling/rendering. I would like the PC to be able to run Maya, 3ds Max, Zbrush, and Cryengine smoothly. My budget is $900 - $1000 (not including monitor and keyboard). I'm completely new to this, so any feedback would help! Thank you very much.

Get a Xeon 1231 instead of the i7. Get rid of the CPU cooler, with the money saved buy 32GB RAM. Get a cheaper motherboard (that will support 32GB RAM), and add more hard drives, you want 1 media, 1 export, 1 OS, 1 scratch disk. Other than that its a solid build for said application. Any questions? First build will always be terrifying. The 290 is a big weaker but has more VRAM, may not be super useful. But at the same time, if you do this professionally you would go with the latest and greatest so Im guessing thats not the case...
