Hi! I'm new to this forum and forgive me if I do something wrong.

Now.. My problem is that I installed Windows 8.1 on my HP G62-a14SL laptop and now I'm having problems with the resolution. It's stuck on 1024x768: the option to change the resolution is greyed out and there's nothing I can do to change it. This laptop comes also with an AMD Mobility Radeon HD5470 GPU and I've installed the latest drivers for it from the AMD website but nothing changed.

I will include some screenshots (sorry for the quality, took them with my phone) and hope you guys will be able to help me out. Thanks in advance!

There are no black bars. Everything is just huge and you can clearly see that it's not the right resolution

Have a look in the settings in AMD Catalyst (you will have downloaded it with the drivers) have a play around with the settings, specifically scaling options, see if you can change the resolution in there, or if there as option to change aspect ratio to widescreen.

The only resolutions I can choose are lower than 1024x728 (like 800x600). When I go to the software part section of AMD Catalyst it's like it doesn't even recognize the GPU.
