ADVICE: Upgrading GTX 670 2GB or new Graphics card

Hi,

I would like some advice from the gamers community.
I built a decent (at least I think it is decent) gaming PC a few years back and now l'm looking to upgrade it a bit.

My graphics card is Gigabyte GTX 670 2GB OC (GV-N670OC-2GD).

My question is that is it worth purchasing a second GTX 670 next to it (over SLI) or should I invest in a new graphics card?
If the latter one then which graphics card?

Some other specs about my build:
Mobo: ASROCK Z77 Extreme 4
Ram: 4x4GB (Can't recall MHz at the moment)
I'll provide more specs if needed

I would think you would get near identical fps out of a sli gtx 670 build vs a gtx 970. Really depends on you if the extra 100$ for a gtx 970 is worth the reduced power/heat and the dx 12 capabilities.
