Just looking to get some ideas if I'm heading in the right direction for this build. It will be my first attempt at making a decent gaming rig so I want it to be done right. I also need it to last me quite some time as I don't really want to be constantly upgrading.

Definitely looking for some critiquing in any and all components. Cheers.

first I'd say get a bigger ssd, seriously it'll pay off longrun when you want to install games on it, I have 2 hdds and an ssd in my laptop all 1TB and it is nice being able to put the games I don't want to have load times on the ssd with os, so just remember you might wanna put a few 40 gb games on it or more, maybe you don't tho. also maybe http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-g1sniperz87 would work better as a mobo to stick with the green, still has sli if you ever wanna get another gpu in there. and http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-gtx970gaming100me would be a good gpu to stick with the green.. um and if you move the included fan to the side and put both green lit ones up front it'll look pretty cool all together... http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hbbtyc is my little edited version which is still a bit under the budget you said.. otherwise, it's also really easy to hook up some leds to boost the green aspect but aside from the mobo being black and white eh... anyways between the cpu and gpu it'll be pretty amazing. good luck and thanks for reading

Okay, Thanks for that. Yeah I'll definitely reconsider my SSD size thinking about them 40gb+ games. And yeah I was thinking about picking up a few custom seethed cables to go with the theme.
