Hi, I am looking for a new monitor. My PC will be used for gaming and as an office PC. My favorite monitor that I have seen is the Playstation 3D Monitor. I know it is a few years old and is pretty expensive, and probably is not very good compare to newer monitors. So, Im looking for one that has a glossy display (I wont die if its a matte finish, but i prefer glossy), is very bright, and has very good, vibrant colors. As for resolution and aspect ratio, Anything 1080p or higher is fine and 16:9, 16:10, or 21:9 (21:9 is preferred). As for size, 23 inches or greater. And Price wise no more than $300. Here are some monitors I have found. (I have no idea if the dell is glossy or not).

I dont know where to look or how to choose. Please offer advice and any monitors which generally fit the criteria above. Thanks

With your budget, you either buy an IPS 60Hz monitor or one with TN panel, 144Hz and motion blur reduction. The latter is best for gaming, the former for all-round use.

My recommendations:

IPS:
Dell S2415H. Glossy panel, so it offers the clearest and most vibrant picture.

Eizo EV2336WFS-BK. Matte panel, but grain-free. The best-in-class, since it offers the most accurate and vibrant colours (96% sRGB colour space cover vs 87-90% for the AH-IPS panels). Expensive compared to the competition, though.

TN 144Hz:
LG 24GM77. Matte panel, but not disturbingly heavy. It is one of the cheaper 144Hz monitors and more consistent colour preset and contrast wise compared to the competition too, so it is a great deal.

If you wish to go more expensive, North Americans can buy 27" 2560x1440 Korean monitors from IPS LED Monitors who offer a 14 day Return Policy.
Check the Yamakasi Catleap Q270SE. It uses an overclock-able, glossy 8 Bit LG S-IPS panel, it has glossy coating and it is single input.
