Hello all,

I selected all the components I need for a pc, and I was wondering if there were any components on which I could save some money. Here's my setup:

Cooler Master Storm Trooper (case)
Cooler Master PSU VS serie 750watt (v750s power supply)
Gigabyte Geforce GTX970 G1 Gaming (GPU)
Intel Core i5 4690k (CPU)
Kingston Hyperx Fury black 2x8 GB (1866mhz RAM)
Kingston SV300S37A/120G (120GB SSD)
MSI Z97 Gaming 5 (I like the SLI feature, MB)
Noctua NH-D14 (CPU Cooler.I want to overclock, no water cooling)
Seagate 7200.14 ST1000DM003 (HDD 1TB)

I was wondering if the 16GB RAM makes a difference. The 8GB version is 40% cheaper, and I heard 8GB is enough for gaming. What makes me prefer the 16gb is the fact that you can leave other programs open while gaming, without getting a shortage of RAM (correct me if I'm wrong).

Please give me your opinion on where I could spare some change! :D

- Stick with 16GB RAM, only if you're planning to run some hardware intensive applications like 3D/Video rendering in the background while gaming. Otherwise, 8GB RAM is the sweet spot for gaming. The gaming performance difference between 8GB and 16GB is highly negligible.
- I would suggest Samsung 850 EVO 120GB which costs roughly $15 extra, for better performance, comes with 5 years warranty.

Everything else fine. Stick with it.

Thanks for your quick response! 2x4GB it is. I can always upgrade to 4x4 IF I would ever need it, right? :D
