Help choosing 1080p monitor for 200$ budget!

I am going to upgrade my old monitor. I use the monitor mainly for gaming but not on a competitive level so i am looking for the best display.

Which one is better?

I like the lg because it has 24" size and the design is quite good but i dont know about the performance between these 2 monitors.
If you have other options please tell me.

The first one is good too. but tell you what, go with samsung px2370. it is just superb.

my friend keep saying that lg are bad and i should go pick asus, but i like the lg design though

The majority of IPS panels are made by either LG or Samsung, so even if you go with a different manufacturer chances are that monitor will have an LG panel inside it

Both monitors are IPS panel which is a good thing. You get vibrant colors, and better viewing angles than with cheaper panels some monitors use.

Both monitors have 5ms response time. Good enough for 99% of us. Lower response times are better, but most of us cannot see the difference between 1ms and 5ms.

The only thing missing from these two that I do not like, is that there are no DisplayPorts. And more and more, all video cards are going to be going to multiple DisplayPort's because DP can do 4K @ 60Hz.

It really is a toss up between these two monitors. Pick the one with the best prices is my call.
