Just tried to join the forum. You asked me to click on the link in my email but I cannot access my email as I use explorer and cannot access it from this computer. I am using someone else's computer to join the forum because I am asking you for help with mine.

That's fine; you get I think two days between creating an account and needing to have confirmed the email.
You could also use another email (or create a free one using e.g. GMail), and change your email address in the forum settings.
