Running dual monitors via HDMI and Displayport to HDMI connector?

I've been waiting to upgrade my monitors, however the two monitors I want to use only support HDMI..
So I was wondering if I was to have one monitor plugged into HDMI and the other plugged into a displayport via a displayport to hdmi would it clone the same image or would they work as two separate images?

You should be able to do either; just pick which you want in Windows (or whichever OS you're running).

We need to know what you're connecting this to supports multiple monitors. Theoretically if the ports are meant to be used as double monitors then this should be fine.

OK, now that's confusing me. Do you want the images on the displays flipped, too? I'm assuming not.

If you just want to show the same thing on every display, then yes, you can do that.

I think the flipped image is just to show a different screen. It is possible to do this as long as either your mobo or your graphics card support dual monitors.

Yes it would, you can go either way. If you want you can set it to duplicate the image, or to have two separate monitors. You can set all of that through the os.
