As the title said, and here is what I had picked so far. For the motherboard, I want around 6 USB port on the back, and many SATA for around 5+ Internal Hard Drive. I think 1 GTX 970 is enough power to put game on max setting, and will get another one later for SLI when the price go down. If you have any better suggestion, then please point it out for me, thank you.

It been 5+ years since I built my last PC, so I am not sure about all these latest cores. Should I stick with 4790 CPU or go for 5280 CPU with DDR4? or should I wait a little bit longer to build since DDR4 is still new.

PSU is not good at all. Change for an Antec, XFX, Seasonic, EVGA (G2,B2)

I would get an air cooler over the H100i. Quieter buy same performance for less money. TC14 or NH-D15.

As for an X99 build, it depends how much workstation stuff you do vs. gaming. 80% workstation 20% gaming? Go X99. Other way around? Z97 for sure. Remember the 4790k is BETTER in games than the 5820k.

Are you working on your video edits professionally (in Ubisoft Montreal offices) or just doing it for fun?
+1 for the PSU suggestions, tiny voices.
And as for the case, I think you should get the black/red since your build has a lot of that.

Thank tiny voices. My gaming is around 30-40%, so I guess I will go with the 6-cores CPU. H440 is just a great case, but too bad it is not compatible with 5280K.

Thank okcnaline. I am not doing any professionally, but just for fun. The reason I am worry about that is my old current PC now take hour to cut edit one video.

PCPartPicker said it is not compatible, or I didn't check it carefully. 5280k CPU didn't come up when I picked that case

Your build's fine then, if it's for fun. However, this build will be aesthetically better and have better components.

Since we go for 5820k route. How about this build? My old big fan loose over time and I am afraid of that. That is why I like liquid cooling mount.
