What 4k Monitor or TV should I go with for gaming?

I'm looking into which 4k Monitor or TV I should go with, I've been stuck thinking if I should go with a 27" 4k Monitor or if I should utilize the 4k itself and go with a 40" TV with a low response time and overall good quality for PC gaming. I'm to be purchasing a GTX 980 TI and I'd really appreciate it for the help that I'm looking for. It's difficult for me to consider anything as my mind's been all over the place recently and I'm not sure which are good monitor's or tv's especially for their price.

On the side note I'd like to mention I'd like a tv or monitor capable of scaling well with 1080 or 1440, G Sync is a plus as well, if not it's fine!
