3x 980 Ti's | Fan cooling vs Water Cooling | Which should I choose?

Hello, so Im wondering if i should fan cool or water cool this build.

I have a full watercooling build with all the parts aswell. Watercooling is $2300 more and im scared i might break it.

Am i able to fan cool 3 980 Ti's? thanks!

3way SLI would really have temp issues especially the card in the middle which doesn't get enough airflow in air cooling. not to be rude here but since you are willing to spend that much, why would you be scared? seems to me you got plenty to burn

fan cool, no. If your doing overclocking (which i hope you are) on those cards you will get pretty high temps.. i was hitting about 75c on a moderate overclock with just one card.. 3x cards would push you to the upper 80s at least.

With my waterblock installed on the 980 ti, the max temp i saw was 35c under load and it idles at about 22c

If you have the money for 3 980ti cards you probably have the money to make a water cooling loop if you have no experience and don't want to risk it just got with 2 cards unless you just HAVE to get Max fps on a 4k monitor
