Hello to anyone who stumbles upon this! This is just your typical thread about building a new PC (and very similar to one I posted last year, except this time, I'm building one for my wife). I'll keep it short and to the point.

While I may stream and edit/render videos nearly everyday, my wife does not, but she wants a PC with similar (or better) capabilities as mine. I believe I have some solid choices linked below, but I'd absolutely love some extra eyes to glance over my findings.

Budget: Please keep the price of each item similar to what is listed below, but I am willing to spend a few extra bucks here and there if it makes sense to do so. I am looking to only purchase products from Newegg due to having their credit card (0% interest for a year is helpful to a poor sap like me).

I prefer to buy bundles (like the case and PSU together, the processor and motherboard together, etc.) just so I can save a few bucks. What should I edit, and what should I add to what I'm currently planning? SSD brackets and thermal compound I presume, but what do YOU think?

Thank you for looking over this short list. Please let me know how I can improve it and/or my thread to receive more responses.

Great find on the motherboard! Thank you!

I definitely want a larger SSD so that it can fit Windows, the games she plays regularly, and other frequently used programs (Photoshop as an example). I also want a decent sized HDD due to how much data she has (well over 1TB of clipart, videos, and other nonsense).

Is there much of a reason to spend an additional $150 on the GPU? The 970 is a really powerful card as is, right?

She wants a full tower case, so the mid towers won't do sadly. As for the other changes, they look good.

Thanks again for any help you can provide!

The GTX 970 is a powerful card, but I was not aware of the other requirements of this build, I just put the 980 in because it could fit in the budget at that price!
