Hi guys, i'm currently in the process of building a gaming PC and will need to buy a monitor. I'm hoping that that you could give me some recommendations according to this specification:

1920x1080 or better (therefore presumably needs an HDMI socket)
24" or bigger
~£110
Needs sound output as I plan to connect headphones to the monitor in order to have sound.

Many thanks!

Hmm, what does it have that other, more affordable monitors do not?

A monitor is a monitor. Some come with features that you would never need, and they market them like they are important for our survival on earth. Focus on different panel types, TN, VA, IPS. IPS being the best currently available to consumers. In terms of specs, it's not 2005 anymore, input lag and response times are pretty much equal. Though if you want a much smoother ghost free experience you should consider a 120-144 Hz panel. There are TN and IPS versions, but the TN is cheaper and with bad viewing angles, color, and contrast. If colors are important, choose IPS.
