How should I set up airflow?

My case (Cooler Master Elite 331) has a 120mm rear mount, 120mm front mount, and 80mm side panel mount.

I've been reading a lot of mixed commentaries about where to install exhaust or intake, so I have to ask if I'm making the right decision.

Should I do intake fans on the rear and side panel, and exhaust on the front.

Or should I do it the other way around- rear and side panel exhaust while front is intake?

Or is it best to do rear and front exhaust, side panel intake?

I'm new and overwhelmed. Thanks for any feedback.

My case doesn't have a top fan mount- would it still be a good set up without the top exhaust?
