I'm using a Linksys AE2500 network adapter on Windows 10 technical preview and when ever the adapter is plugged in, my CPU usage nearly hits 100%. I've checked for malware and that doesn't seem to be the problem. If anyone knows what may be causing this problem please let me know.
I've uploaded a video at the following URL to give a better idea of what i'm talking about.

Solution
First step would be to manually update the driver for your motherboard's LAN. You should be able to find the driver at the motherboard manufacturer's website. Give that a shot, and let us know if it brings down the usage to a more reasonable level.

Hope this helps!
