Build a decent rig new or buy a 1 year used solid rig off CL for around the same price? Links to parts list inside.

I've never owned/built a gaming pc nor have I ever used one. I am stuck deciding between building my own or buying a used one off of Craigslist. Here are the links to each parts list.

I don't need the latest and great hardware but I could also upgrade and save on a used PC. What do you guys think? What is even a fair price for a PC like this that has been used for a year? There might even be warranty on it yet.

I'd say go with the build you put together yourself. Also thermal paste is provided with the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO already so unless you want a better paste. You don't have to buy another one.
