DVI question for 1080p monitor

So it looks like my old gpu's have a dual link dvi-i connection. When I am looking for a basic 1080p monitor, a lot say dvi. I don't know if this is a stupid question, but with a dual link dvi-i, do I need to look closer to see that some say dual link dvi-d etc.? or will anything that says dvi work with my dual link dvi-i?

Anyone have any idea about this? I'd kind of like to pull the trigger on something asap, but I don't want to buy a monitor that I can't connect to my gpu's.
