So I think I am coming to the end of my build thanks to some excellent advice.

I am still deciding between a few bits based on comments but the general build is below:

I have been using a laptop ever since I can remember, so have very little knowledge of monitors.

I am looking for:
23-24''
Budget - £90-£150

1) Just wanted some other options.I would be grateful if suggestions that are closer to the £150 mark could also suggest one closer to the £100 mark.

2) Also wanted to know if there was an IPS monitor in that sort of price range, and if it would be worth me getting an IPS monitor that is within that price.

3) A short explanation of why suggestions are made would really help me get a better understanding of what makes a good monitor too.

Hello, I am in a hurry, an analysis at a later date.
My first suggestion, a bit more expensive than your budget, it is worth it though because of the glossy coating that makes the picture clearer and the colors more vibrant.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-S2415H-23-8-inch-Monitor/dp/B00OMP887G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1434967399&sr=8-1&keywords=Dell+S2415H

Otherwise, this one is probably the best of the least expensive IPS monitors: http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-D-Sub-HDMI-USB-IPS/dp/B00M8F9W2W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1434967431&sr=8-1&keywords=lg+24mb56hq

Both are flicker free, have great color presets and contrast and are delay free.

VX239H is a good monitor, but it uses frame-less casing which has inner black bezels which ruin the perceived black depth.

MX239H is older model and uses PWM dimming, avoid it.

I cannot find any reviews of VS239HV. It is probably fine, but it may use PWM dimming. I would suggest to prefer something else.

Both monitors I suggested in my first post use an AH-IPS panel and I consider them a better choice than any Asus above, the Dell mainly for its glossy coating and the LG for its light brushed black bezel which increases the perceived black depth and makes blacks look deeper compared to the frame-less monitors.

If you have to go with one of the one you mentioned, choose the VX239H.
