It is not as good and it is a bit more gpu demanding. But still it works great if you can afford it.
Older games do have scaling issues unfortunately.

thought id share my experience with dsr as im testing it right now, im using dsr on a 1080p tv to go 1440p in witcher 3 and it almost looks identicle to my 1440p monitor i believe (perhaps not as sharp but still very very close) it may all depend on what size monitor/tv ur using tho, i noticed no difference between 1440p(native resolution) and 4k dsr on my 1440p(27inch) the dsr is probally much more noticeable on a larger screen considering i can definitly see the difference on my 60 inch tv. Dont know it matters but im using a 980ti sc+ And dont see much performance hit if at all between using native resolution 1440p and dsr 1440p. Hope i could help.
