Using HDTV as PC Monitor

Hey everyone so I have an HDTV laying around my house, believe it was from 2013 or so, so its faairly new. I just wanted to know if it would be a pretty solid gaming monitor on my new rig until I can afford to buy 2 legit PC monitors. I don't see why it would be an issue but Im asking anyhow.

Sure! I was using a 32" LG 1080p monitor for PC gaming before upgrading to a 1440p PC monitor. Just make sure it is set up right in the Windows control panel tool (1920x1080, 59Hz) for your Nvidia or AMD card.

Should be fine but some TV's have high input lag which is very bad for gaming. Does the TV have a gaming mode?

But isn't the input lag characterized by the response time? It's 5ms on this tv which is pretty on par with an average monitor. Correct me if i'm wrong.
