Lost a whole written question.

I wrote a question to ask in one of the forums, though I didn't have an account yet. When I finished I went through, it took me to make a new account and such, and then when I finished that and logged in it didn't take me back to what I had written! I tried to back up the page to it also but it didn't come up, only with a blank text field. All that effort wasted.
I looked at my profile and such and cant see any threads linked to my account.
Just letting you know! Im guessing there is no easy way to get it back, so may as well get retyping.

Sorry, Jesse, but I've looked as well and there's no trace of anything. If you navigate away from a forum page to another, unsaved material will be lost. The best thing to do when writing a lengthy post is to save it into Notepad or similar as you go along.

If you re-write the problem, I'm sure someone will help you.

This happens a lot, not just here but most forums. I got into the habit of copying the post before pressing any buttons. Saves a lot of effort when things like this happen unexpectedly.

agreed, before taking any action such as submitting posts, signing in, etc i always copy all text i have in a thread. while it certainly would be nice if the text autosaves i dont think there is any mechanism for that currently.
