Basically, I want to connect my PS4 to my monitor, and then my computer to my monitor aswell. The problem is that there is only one port on my monitor that I can connect to. If your having problems understanding this, heres a diagram of what I mean.

So my computer and ps4 hooked up to a single port on my monitor. Is this possible? I thought of splitters but I'm not sure if that will work. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks.

Get an HDMI switch, not a splitter. A splitter takes one signal and turns into 2 signals (so display 1 PS4 on 2 monitors).

Then use HDMI-DVI cables as necessary to connect to switch and monitor.
You will need to use headset or analog audio for PS4 and will have to configure that in settings, otherwise it will try to output audio via hdmi.

Well, some older/cheaper monitors can have only single port, It is not unheard of.
It also seems that there are some dvi switches that should be able to do it. (manual toggle between which input is active)

one possible problem with that example is that "Only digital signal is passed" meaning that if the actual signal happens to be analog (possible with DVI-I) it wont work. and the plug isn't even compatible with DVI-D
Connector types shown in:

Wow, I have not seen dvi switches that cheap, usually they are always double-tripple the cost of hdmi which is why I suggested using hdmi. Good find

unless its a 4k display I think you would probably be fine with vga lol. or unless you have a graphics card putting out 120hz. in which case get a better monitor with more inputs haha
