Which monitor would be better for gaming out of these two?

I would trust the BenQ to be a more capable gaming monitor than the Asus one. But both are decent monitors that delivers what's expected of a gaming monitor. But BenQ has more experience with gaming monitors so I'd pick the BenQ one over any other monitor if the price is okay with you.

That may be true, but users have complained that the LG has a poorer blur reduction and a brighter than bright display where users complained that it was too hard to get use to. Other than that, the LG does have a crispier display than the BenQ monitor. It all depends on the OP at this point. Damn didn't even know there was a gaming monitor by LG. Always thought they catered to the design side.

Yes, LG does not usually make gaming monitors, but this one is a good one. The fact that its back-light strobbing reduces brightness just a little bit is a good thing, it means that you can always leave brightness at low value, which is easier on the eyes, without having to adjust it every time you enable Motion 240.

Check the review of Tom's Hardware too, it also praises its effective blur reduction and comments on its really decent colors for a TN monitor.

Yea. I did some poking around. Pretty decent reviews. Just that some people feel that the brightness of the monitor even at low value was still too bright. But from what I see, it's pretty decent from a company that doesn't specialise in gaming. And it's cheaper. For that, I'd have to change my recommendation to this model as well :D Thanks for the introduction on this.
