Should I go for a 24 inch or 27 inch monitor for this build? (Please read everything before responding)

I plan on buying a new monitor for the build above, but am unsure whether to go for a 24 inch or 27 inch... The monitor I plan on buying - http://www.amazon.com/AOC-G2460PQU-Ultimate-Performance-Professional/dp/B00HY7PAUC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1435893860&sr=8-1&keywords=aoc+144hz

Keep in mind that I plan on playing all of the latest games on maximum settings 60-90+ FPS. I'll also be playing with graphically heavy mods on games such as: Skyrim, Minecraft, and GTA 4/5.

I figure if I go for the 24 inch, I'll have an easier time running the games listed above. Is this true, or should I go for the 27? I'm really new to this type of stuff, so go easy on me.

As usual, any advice is taken into consideration.

A 1920x1080 20" is just as demanding as a 1920x1080 100".

As for size:

A 23.6" and a 27" display are basically the same size. the 27" is 3 inches wider, and 2 inches taller. It's got a PPI of 81, instead of 93. To compensate, you are going to want to sit 5 inches further away.

As for resolution:

1920 * 1080 = 2073600 (pixels)

2560 * 1440 = 3686400 (pixels)


3686400 / 2073600 = 1.7

1440 is 1.7 times more demanding than 1080, if you ever considered a higher resolution display.

Well frick I may as well as just get the 24 inch then. I personally value performance over pixels.
