Whats the difference between Flash Solid State Drive and PCIe Flash Solid State Drive?

I plan on buying the HP OMEN - 15t Quad Touch Select Laptop. With the 256GB Flash Solid State Drive it costs $2049.99. Howevs, with the 512GB PCIe Flash Solid State Drive it costs $2249.99.

How does the Flash Solid State Drive differ from the PCIe Flash Solid State Drive? Will there be any difference in performance when playing graphic intensive games?

As far as I know, PCI is a faster method of storage. It allows faster loading times for the games than traditional ssd's. Apart from that I don't think there is any advantage.
