So its my first build ever and I plan on using this for some gaming and all kinds of development (web, mobile, openGL and other 3D programming, some amateur game development... etc). The total price of the current parts is about what im hoping to spend on just the computer since I'll still have to spend a few more hundred on OS and monitors and such but if you have any recommendations that are slightly more costly but worth it then please do share. Or if there are any problems with the build please let me know since this is my first build.

Please let me know your thoughts about this build and if there are any problems or suggestions with it:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor $279.00
MOBO: Asus Z97-E ATX LGA1150 Motherboard $99.00
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory $92.99
STORAGE: A-Data Premier Pro SP600 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $79.99
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $46.89
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB Video Card $350.00
CASE: NZXT H440 (White/Black) ATX Mid Tower Case $104.99
PSU: Cougar 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply $47.99
TOTAL: $1080.00

My major questions/concerns are:
1)Will the gigabyte gtx 970 fit with this build? I've heard its huge but not really sure how to judge the fit
Also with the graphics card, I like the I/O for the gigabyte and the better clockrates over the ASUS strix 970 but is it worth paying 20-30$ more for the gigabyte?

2) Is the PSU the right wattage?

3) I'm not super attatched to the case so if you guys have cheaper ones with similar good looks feel free to let me know!

Thanks for helping this newb!

Fixed a quality issue with the PSU. It is not about the wattage.
Fixed a SSD issue. Made faster and more reliable for a bit more. So well worth it.
Changed the mobo also to a slightly better one.

Everything else is great! :) :D
Good luck with the build!
