Hi guys,

So firstly this is my current setup. I've got ~$800NZD which I could push to ~$1k if it was worth it, and I have been considering upgrading. I want to get a second monitor but I'm not sure if 1440p or 144hz is better, or if either are worth the price (>$400). Should I just get another of the 1080p monitor I already have, or spend some extra money to get something better? A second GPU could be on the cards, but it is ~$600.

What are your thoughts?
Thanks

P.S. Please take shipping and tax into account for items I could buy from overseas retailers if you want to make a specific suggestion :)

I've done a lot of research and I know what the theoretical advantages and disadvantages are of each option, I'm just not sure if either actually makes enough difference to justify the cost.

Looks like a gaming PC. So go for the 144Hz eg https://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-vg248qe

Do you think that there would be a significant/noticable difference in gameplay (e.g. CS:GO comp, BF4) ?
I know the generic answer of high refresh rate for gamers and high resolution for photography etc. What I'm looking for is more of an indication of the realistic impact either would have. Additionally, 1440p 144hz monitors are starting to hit the market (~$100 NZD) so in 6 months or so I could probably afford one of those?
