PC turns on for 2 seconds and turns off and repeats

Just bought a new processor and installed it when i went to turn on my pc it turns on for 2 seconds and turns off and repeats so i put my old cpu back in and it worked fine again my motherboard supports the new cpu (i7 4790k) my motherboard is a gigabyte GA-B85-HD3 and my old cpu is a i5 4570 please help

Update the bios with the old then try, if that doesnt work it maybe faulty

whats ur new cpu you may need to update ur bios and try agian

the new one is a i74790k and my old one is a i5 4570 and i think they use the same bios
