Hello.

I am building my first PC with an i5-2500k and single GTX 570 Superclocked.

EVGA say I should have at least a 550W PSU, but I think I should probably go to 650W or 700W for safety.

I know nothing about PSUs. I understand watts, but not amps or V or rails.

I'm looking for an easy to use, modular PSU that comes with a clear guide for installation, good support and warranty, and is known for reliability.

My maximum is £70.

My case will be the Coolermaster Elite 330, so I need it to be easily fitting in that.

Thank you for your help.

basically just get anything 600w+ from Antec, Seasonic, Corsair or XFX and you will be fine. Probably avoid the corsair budget CX series though.....

This isn't modular though.

I am told that modular PSUs are easier to use.

modular psu's arent easier to use. All PSU's are the same to use. There is no "easy to use" psu, the statement itself makes no sense. Its like saying "its easier to use a power saving lightbulb than a regular lightbulb". It makes no sense! they both do the same thing, just different ways of working. However, modular psu's are better as you dont have to have more cables in your case than you need, you can attach them as you need them. They are just neater, but not necessary.

Yes, Modular is the way to go. Cable management is so much easier resulting in improved air flow through the case. With Modular, besides the 24-pins and the 8-pins connector, you just plug in the SATA power and the GPU power cables that you need. Looks neater too!
