First build in over ten years, thinking I may be a little rusty, so I'd appreciate feedback on this list:

Parts List

Looking primarily for gaming and HTPC on a 1080p HDTV via an Onkyo receiver with some future proofing (SLI later, perhaps) and mild overclocking potential. Doesn't need to be pretty, just powerful and reasonably quiet.

Thanks!
Mark

Thanks for looking.

No game will currently use even 8 gig of RAM so even 16 gig is overkill. Ideally it should be 1.5 volt ,or less.
I would get 1866 MHz , 1.5 volt , CAS9. The 2400 MHz is just an overclock and over volt anyway.

The cm cooler is good, but in this budget you can't beat Noctua

Thanks - swapped the CM for the NH-D14 and went for 2 x 8GB 1866MHz C9, still from Corsair. Even saved a little!
