Acer 23" monitor says "No Signal"

After building my PC, I got everything set up without a hitch. After all of the updates were installed I turned off. The next morning the computer wouldn't turn on. For the next few weeks I attempted to fix it but to no avail so I gave up. Then after about a month of letting the computer sit, I tried turning it on and it worked! When I tried getting the monitor to work however, all the monitor says is no signal despite being all plugged into the gpu. Could anyone provide any help, please?
Here are the specs:
Gigabyte 990fx motherboard
Acer 23" HD LED monitor
EVGA GTX 970 GPU

Also, I've attempted doing the reset where I unplug the monitor and hold down the power button for 30 seconds but to no avail. Any help is appreciated.

None of those tips worked. What's your opinion? Do you think the gfx card is toast?

Does the monitor work with other devices, e.g. a laptop?

If you attach the buzzer to your motherboard, do you get any beeps?
