Looking to upgrade to a 144hz monitor

Hey all, I'm currently looking to get a new monitor, and I figured it was time to look into the 144hz monitors they got out there. Currently the card I've got in my system is an Asus Strix GTX 970, since the DVI slot is currently being used by my second monitor, I'm going to be using the displayport slot on the card.

My question is, since the displayport on the card is listed as being 1.2, is displayport 1.2 compatible with 144hz monitors and gsync ?

ROG SWIFT has display port 1.2 and Gsync and 144hz. I have one (see rig in sig) its expensive tho but yes 144mhz can use 1.2 display port and gsync

awesome! thanks for the help, I doubt i'm going to go for that monitor, but I'm glad to know displayport 1.2 will work with 144hz and gsync! I'm probably going to go for one thats at least 1080p
