I recently built the computer below and am looking to upgrade my monitor. My current monitor is an Acer X223W and I'm looking for something snazzier.

I'd look into Asus monitors. They make some great TN panels that are fast. Is this for fps gaming or more like Skyrim? I'm trying to say low response time and lag or so so response time and IPS panel.

I don't do a lot of online FPS. A little TF2, L4D, and I plan to play Overwatch when it comes out. Otherwise, it's mostly single player where I don't know that the response time would be a critical.

Since the absolute fastest response rate isn't critical then I'd get a IPS panel monitor. Acer made a new one that is 2560x1440 and looks beautiful. With your 970 you'd get some great fps with it and the colors will be better than TN panels. Also the higher resolution is appreciated.
