Hi all,
I was looking for some monitor advice for my particular use case. I wanted to start gathering some info before I decide on what to buy. I'll likely make a purchase around the holidays in a few months so keep that in mind...
I currently have two of the following monitors in use:

This seems to be the 1080p monitor to beat for gaming in the 1080p realm:

I do gameplay material for youtube as a side business/hobby, so having quality parts is important to me, but my knowledge on monitors is limited.
Would upgrading one of my Asus monitors to the Benq show any really noticeable difference? It's a fairly big price gap, almost 300$. Also, are there any monitors on the horizon that look promising and would be worth waiting for? I use Nvidia cards so these Gsync monitors seem nice, but it appears they are a ways off from having well priced monitors with that tech involved.
Another aspect of this is obtaining a 2k monitor. My end result would be to have a quality 1080p monitor for doing 1080p 60fps video recordings, but have a 2k monitor for personal gaming and general use, and potentially recording 2k gaming videos in the future. I have a macbook pro 13 inch that has a 2560x1600 display and the detail is fantastic in the image quality, but I have nothing to compare it to. Will an upgrade to a 2k monitor make Windows 7 look this sharp? Right now windows just looks fuzzy and washed out in comparison to my Macbook...
Here's a monitor I found interesting that is 2k:
http://
Would this be a good monitor for gaming? With a 4ms response time, i don't have the experience to say for sure and I don't have a means of testing any of these before I buy something.
So, are either of these good monitors for my purposes? Is there a better option now or one just on the horizon I should wait for? Will I see a big difference in upgrading to these monitors from the current setup?
Thanks!!!
