How many hertz can I DVI Dual link support at 2560x1440?

I just ordered a Dvi dual link cable for my monitor and I was wondering at 2560x 1440 how many hertz can the cable display? also I have another question. If I use a DVI single link which can go to 60 hertz max on 1080p, does that mean if I go to 75 hertz on 1080p with a single link my monitor will be messed up?

The refresh rate (measured in Hz) is dependent on your monitor more-so than the cable you're using. If your monitor only supports 60Hz refresh, then that's as high as it can go. If Windows will allow you to set the refresh rate to 75Hz or higher, then your monitor supports it, and should be fine.
