Used to watch this all the time as a kid. It was always on a dirt track, and there would be teams. Maybe just 2, maybe more. But in each team, one car would race. All the other cars try to defend the racer from the other team, and try to take out the racer on the other team.
That's the main game, I'm not sure if that was a rule though. I think that any car could take the win for their team, but they usually just assigned one (or maybe 2) guys to race.
