radeon hd 6870 fan dead, need recommendation for compatible upgrade

I built a PC to play GuildWars2 a couple years ago and it seems my video card has crapped out on me. The fan barely spins on the card (if at all) and will go into intermittent spinning and pausing until it overheats and causes a restart. I need an upgrade and am not incredibly computer savvy. I just want to make sure I buy something that is compatible with my motherboard.

My previous (current under-performing) card:

I'm willing to spend around $200-$300 (maybe more) I have an i5 processor and 8gb ram on windows 7 64bit, if anyone needs that to matter.

Is it easy? I'm sort of in a time crunch because I'm moving soon and I'd like to have this taken care of before then.

Video was just to demonstrate how easily the stock fan can be removed & subsequently reinstalled but otherwise I agree with you in that Its a good time to re-apply thermal paste.
