Friend is trying to sell his PC that has:

CPU: i7-3770k

CPU cooler: Stock

Mobo: P8Z77-V LK

RAM: 1x8gb Corsair 1600mhz, not sure of the exact model.

GPU: 2x660ti's EVGA 2GB SC Editions

PSU: EVGA 750B

Case: RAIDMAX SMILODON Extreme Black ATX-612WEB

Also comes with a wireless adpter; TP-LINK TL-WN722N

He wants $800 for it. I'm pretty convinced that's too much. Am I wrong?

Solution
Depends, he could possibly get $800 for it. I've seen less go for me and more go for less. If he was asking say $900 obo, it's possible. Honestly I wouldn't pay more than $600 for that, and I'd of course annoy him with asking if he'd part it out. Assuming I wanted the processor/mobo or maybe the two 660's for whatever reason

The 2 biggest issues I see are:

-1 8gb stick of ram? That sounds awful; single channel memory.
-No SSDs or HDDs?

Honestly if he's asking $800 for and coming in that high then I'd look elsewhere. Its hard for some people to come to terms that what they are selling is not worth 80% of what they paid for it retail, not even close.

Here is what I see in terms of value on the high end:
3770k: $160
mobo: $70
RAM: you will probably need to replace with a proper dual module kit for 1155. so ill give $30 value here to be nice.
GPUs: $200
PSU: $40
Case: $70
Wireless adapter: $10

That's $580 total.

I wouldn't pay a dime over $600 and I would like to pay something like $500-$550 for this rig.
