SLI GPU led's

I have two 980 TI's running in SLI and I noticed that the top card's LED's are brighter than the bottoms. I'm wondering if this is due to the PCI-E slot speeds,power or lack there of, or its just how it is sometimes? Sorry if I used any wrong terminology and I thank you 'community' for your help.

The brightness of LEDs is pretty random, and depends on a whole bunch of factors.

You could try swapping the cards, and see if that changes anything.
