I want to add a tv to my 2 monitor setup but I only have one HDMI port that is being used but I do have a DS, DVI, and a VGA but I was wonder which one would be best to convert to HDMI for a 32in 1080p tv.

No, they aren't.

DP is packet based and runs at a fixed clock cycle no matter how much data is being passed - it just idles some of the time.

HDMI and DVI use a clock that varies depending on what resolution, refresh rate, colour depth etc. your display is run at. This requires very different drive hardware. Hence why some AMD cards can only drive two non-DP displays, but DP displays are only limited by number of ports (and you can even use splitters/daisy chain).
