windows 10 pro update failed

i need help to get around the windows automatic update for my Lenovo T440s laptop. the update shows as failed several times in windows update. I never make it to any download screen. I am upgrading from 8.1 pro and all updates are installed

Try using the windows media creation tool and upgrade using that. (I'm doing it now to my PC via the creation tool)

Yep the product key is automated, windows 10 will detect windows 7/8.1 on your system and immediately gets the product key from that and validates it with Microsoft.
