Gaming Monitor £100 - £150 (UK)

All of the asus models are good mate ,if you can squeeze the vx239 in budget it is honestly the best sub £200 60htz panel I have ever seen. Its ah-ips & is an incredible quality screen
I was very very close to swapping my 114hz tn panel for one of those after seeing it.
The vs 239 is also an IPS & in all honesty on a 60htz panel I would take a decent quality low refresh IPS over a tn panel nowadays - image quality /contrast is just so much better .

Cool, How about the 21" model of the vx panel?

Also could someone check out these, which one would you recommend as the best:

If youre happy with a 21.5 inch mate then its a top monitor.

if you lined up the 3 monitors with video/desktop/ hi res photo on screen you would absolutely put them in this order when it comes down to clarity/contrast & colours

1. asus vx
2. asus vs
3. benq

there is honestly nothing wrong with the benq - if you went with it you would no doubt be happy.Just if you do a straight real life comparison then youd wished you'd picked on of the ips screens.

Whoa! Wait up, check this out, looks very very nice. That price reduction tho! http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005QVZ79C/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2HTD9VZIPQLJB

I dont think youd be happy with a 21.5 inch mate - its a bigger drop in screen size than it sounds.

Its a toss up between the tn benq panel & the IPS asus vs239 (also the cheapest) IMO.

The others aren't worth considering in comparison.

Asus vs239 - better quality static imagery, better quality colour & contrast ,better off centre viewing angles.

Benq - zero lag, faster response time, overclockable to 75htz,more connections- a real twich gamers monitor.

Said before - if you sat them side by side you would likely pick the asus on picture quality - that's not because the benq is bad ,just the general difference between IPS & tn technology.

On its own without an IPS to directly compare it to you wouldn't be the least bit unhappy with the benq.

Im on the same exact boat as this guy and dont know what to choose atm.
Is the MX239H (Yeah MX VX same panel just different sound) bad at ghosting?
i read it has an amazingly good input lag ratio of 10ms, but now id like to know if theres any ghosting problems with it when playing FPS.

Thanks!

the vx/mx are the best budget ah-ips monitors around - no ,no ghosting at all from what Ive seen.

Thanks for your answer! Will this be a good gaming monitor? i play a LOT OF FPS atm, on a LG old TN 5ms panel... will my 5 ms TN panel be the same (ghosting wise - which i notice none) than the IPS One?
Also, as a last question. Theese guys

http://www.digitalversus.com/lcd-monitor/asus-mx279h-p14957/test.html
state that the monitor has some slow reponse time (12ms) on some weird setting, is this true? have you used the monitor to verify it shows no ghosting when playing FPS´s? Thanks in advance!
