Windows 10 doesn't show subtitles

Hey guys it seems windows 10 doesn't shows any subtitles for a videos I had and used to work well on windows 7.
Anyone have an idea on how to fix it?

even a video with embedded subtitles doesn't show the subtitles, it seems like something with the windows 10 is not configured well or something.

If not already using, can you please try downloading and installing any third-party video player like VLC and check if the same issue is there?

Hey, I just reinstalled the K-lite codecs, and it seems still not to work with Windows media player and the new player of Windows 10, but while running the video or movie with the other player that comes with the codecs it shows the subtitles.

Edit: Okay I just tried to uninstall the K-lite codecs and install VLC just for the sake of test, and it seems to work well with the VLC player.
So I guess it seems like a bug with the Windows 10 player and Media Player.
