Looking for 2x R9 290/290x's for £300

Hello everyone!

I am looking to sell my GTX 970 and get 2x R9 290/290x's.

I was just wondering if anyone has a set or knows of a set for very close to £300.

I would like to avoid reference models.

Located in the UK, Cornwall (South West)

We'd all like a 290 for £150 mate but honestly doubt its going to happen - prices have actually gone through the roof since the new amd cards were released & most people who were thinking of upgrading aren't likely to now as performance difference is negligible.

I can Also say that running a pair of 290's on a cx750 would be a bad bad idea - Id be wanting a very good quality 850w for that personally.

You'd be far far better going 970sli.

Also, 970SLI is not an option.

The whole reason I asked about R9 290's is because I may be able to pick up two for £300ish, then sell my 970 so would only have spent around £50ish.

Adding another GTX970 is around £300 for me, that's way to much seeing as I'm only 16 and need to save to for a car.

No they don't..

Actually its the recommended wattage.

TDP is 275W. 275Wx2 = 550W

So, on a 850W power supply, I still have 300W for the CPU and other stuff.

More then enough.

RealHardTechX maintains the most comprehensive power supply database on the internet. They recommend 1000 watts for 2 x R9 290s.

TDP does not equal power consumption.

320 watts. Card only.

Well, it happened, got 2 MSI R9 290's for £145 each.

IMO you'll be absolutely fine with 290cf on that PSU.
