I just connected my TV (1920x1080) to my desktop and when I connected it up. It instantly when to 1920x1080 but part of the screen goes out into the bezel! I have to run it at 1768x992 which leaves a black border around the display which is annoying.

Solution
Seems you pass the signal through VGA port? Because I never had this problem with HDMI port with 3 of my TV by notebook.
Try to use your DT's graphics control panel, adjust the VGA output of the screen position if possible.
