I am sorry for being late, I got the driver installed from intel's site . the driver only detects my external monitor. And when I installed windows 8 this was the same case . I tried win 8.1 version buy it does not help . this is the same case with windows 8 . And one more thing this is Dell N5110 (2011) which supports only windows 7 64 bit according to dell site.

Thank you

I found a very weird solution to my tripple monitor problem:
Running Windows 10 final on my Lenovo W530 laptop
Using a docking station / replicator to connect my two Dell monitors using DVI
Quattro K1000M drivers for Windows 10 x64

I right clicked desktop > Display Settings (system settings)
Click Identify > "did not find any devices"
Instead i went to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display (the "old" windows 8 dialogue)
I then selected Change display settings and immediately saw that it detected my two extra monitors!!
In the old dialogue i can extend monitors fine, just not in the Windows 10 dialogue.... looks like a bug but hey it works!

Sorry I do not have a solution. I have the same laptop and the same problem. On boot up after the normal config screens I get an initial windows logo but then the display transfers to the external monitor. All attempts at duplicating and extending the screen in windows fails. Has anyone solved this? Thanks

[strike]I have this exact issue. Laptop screen activates at windows 10 boot up but after that I can only use the external screen. [/strike]

Actually, here's a solution. Try turning the lcd screen on the laptop on and off by using the "Fn" key. Also try lowering and increasing the brightness with the Fn key. This worked for me!

Hello guys,

I am sorry for not following the thread. I have solved this problem by updating my bios version (A9 to A11) , which is available in http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=CXRD8. It worked like a charm, just update it. Thanks for replies and discussions.

Happy New Year!!

You just have to update BIOS from to A11

This worked perfectly on a Dell Vostro 3550. Updated BIOS to version A12 and this was solved.
